How will I help?

You will help us realize that by working closely with the Assurance team to help in managing risk assurance reviews for the Westpac Pacific business.
You will be primarily focused on:
• Working with the business and gathering information related to risks, to determine the terms of reference for Assurance review activities in line with Assurance Coverage Standards.
• Managing and executing reviews in line with Assurance Coverage Standards to objectively evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the risk management and controls.
• Developing reports with clear insights and recommendations to improve the control environment in line with the organisation’s risk appetite and strategic objectives.
The role will also see you promote the development of a strong, effective, and enduring risk management culture whilst actively influencing improvements in risk management practices.
Due to the breadth and coverage of this role, you will build an effective network both internally and externally across the Westpac Group and be tasked with maintaining these relationships.
What do I need?
A strong candidate will:
• bring experience from a related discipline with demonstrated experience. This experience will could come from an audit firm or another large Financial Service organisation.
• have excellent reporting, writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
• have the ability to work as a team with minimal supervision and positive can-do attitude who will hit the ground running.
• have the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
