UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Inventory Utility Person to join our UniFirst Family. As a Team Partner in the Inventory department, you will be responsible for controlling the layout of the active inventory area and monitoring inventory and cycle boxes. At UniFirst we have a 5-day work week, enjoy Saturday and Sunday off!! We have an immediate opening and provide on the job training.

What you’ll be doing
- Manage the layout of the active inventory area.
- Assist the Inventory Analyst, Cycle Count Team Lead, and Cycle Count positions with job assignments.
- Engage in potential training on various powered industrial equipment (i.e.,walkie, fork truck, man-up, etc.).
- Participate in plant-wide safety activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to accomplish job tasks if the need to lift, carry, or push weights arises.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by leadership.
What we’re looking for
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent is required.
- Associate’s Degree (AS) is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- One or more years of related experience and/or training in the field is highly preferred.
- Comfortable working in heights up to 40 feet.
- Excellent communication skills, includes effectively presenting information and responding to questions from managers and employees.
- Capability to read and write English and follow verbal and/or written instruction required.
- Must be proficient in computer programs, such as spreadsheets and databases.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
- Ability to collect, analyze data, and establish facts to draw valid conclusions.
- Strong sensory skills (i.e., vision, hearing, etc.)
- Ability to operate machinery at the location.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
