Job Description

About JLG, an Oshkosh company

JLG began in 1969, when our founder, John L. Grove set out to resolve growing safety concerns in the construction industry. Since then we have been committed to understanding the challenges and delivering innovative solutions to the access market. We partner with customers to provide quality equipment, training opportunities and trusted support within the access industry. We are a global company, and our products—including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles and accessories—can be found all over the world.

The Quality Systems & Data Analyst will lead the development, integration, and continuous improvement of digital quality systems, reporting tools, and data-driven processes. This role will support safety, quality, business, and manufacturing performance by transforming data into actionable insights, improving system visibility, reducing process waste, and enabling faster decision-making across the organization.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, systems-minded, and comfortable building digital solutions using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, Excel, Power Automate, and other business intelligence or workflow platforms. This role will partner cross-functionally with Quality, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and business leaders to improve quality performance, standardize reporting, automate manual processes, and create scalable digital tools.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead data integration, dashboarding, and reporting initiatives to create a reliable single source of truth for quality, manufacturing, supplier, and business performance data.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable digital systems, dashboards, trackers, and workflows using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, Excel, Power Automate, and other approved platforms.

  • Translate business and quality needs into practical digital solutions that improve visibility, reduce manual effort, eliminate duplicate data entry, and enable faster data-driven decisions.

  • Build executive-level roll-up dashboards and site-level drill-down reporting to support global standardization of systems, KPIs, metrics, and business reviews.

  • Analyze trends, defects, process variation, audit findings, supplier quality data, and operational performance to identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

  • Automate recurring reports, quality trackers, data collection forms, and workflow notifications to improve productivity, reduce errors, and strengthen process discipline.

  • Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Global Procurement & Supply Chain, and Employee Teams to define data requirements, improve system usability, and resolve quality-related issues.

  • Develop and maintain quality data models, reporting structures, KPI definitions, and governance practices to improve data accuracy, consistency, and trust.

  • Support continuous improvement of quality control testing, detection methods, defect prevention, and process monitoring.

  • Develop dashboards, digital tools, and automated analysis methods that incorporate SPC concepts to visualize process variation, trends, capability, and quality performance.

  • Construct and maintain quality data tracking, analysis, reporting, root cause investigation, corrective/preventive action, and effectiveness verification systems.

  • Facilitate quality-led forums and performance reviews by providing business impact analysis, risk assessment, data-based recommendations, and clear visual reporting.

  • Identify opportunities to improve first pass yield, reduce defects per unit, reduce cost of poor quality, improve supplier performance, and achieve team goals.

  • Measure process inputs and outputs, analyze data, and communicate findings in a clear, actionable format for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Implement effective corrective and preventive actions using structured problem-solving and planning methods.

  • Support supplier quality processes, PPAP, receiving inspections, supplier quality audits, and disposition of nonconforming materials.

  • Contribute to maintenance of ISO/IATF certifications and compliance by ensuring records, documents, systems, and reports are accurately maintained in accordance with policies and procedures.

  • Schedule and coordinate internal and external quality audits as assigned.

  • Support site measurement systems analysis, calibration, measurement, and compliance activities.

    • Complete measurements of jigs, fixtures, parts, and assemblies as needed.

    • Complete PPAP measurements of parts and assemblies.

    • Complete calibration of gages and tools.

  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL, Python, Alteryx, Smartsheet, ETQ, or other quality/business systems.

  • Experience developing KPI reporting, executive dashboards, operational scorecards, or quality management system metrics.

  • Experience building reports, dashboards, or automated analysis tools using SPC/statistical concepts such as control charts, process capability, Pareto analysis, trend analysis, or variation analysis.

  • Knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action, ISO/IATF standards, PPAP, MSA, calibration, supplier quality, or manufacturing quality processes.
