We are seeking a Manager, Privacy, to join our Privacy team within the Risk Management department. They’ll be responsible for leading internal privacy initiatives, as well as collaborating cross-functionally to develop, implement, and manage data privacy policies, practices, and procedures.
Responsibilities are, but not limited to
- Lead privacy initiatives cross functionally to develop, implement, and managing privacy policies, procedures, and practices internally for Citrin Cooperman.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and communicate privacy policies, processes, and procedures that align with global regulations and industry best practices.
- Participate in internal design discussions to ensure data protection requirements are clearly defined early and throughout the development lifecycle for new projects.
- Ensure data privacy and protection obligations are met.
- Conduct Data Inventory exercises, Privacy Threshold Assessments, Privacy Impact Assessments, Data Protection Impact Assessments to identify and mitigate privacy risks associated with new projects, products, or services.
- Perform data entry into our Privacy Technology solution, TrustArc.
- Develop and deliver privacy training and awareness programs to employees and vendors.
- Monitor changes in data privacy and protection laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Manage and respond to DSARs ensuring compliance with data privacy laws, regulations, and guidance
- Review data protection and privacy agreements and terms.
- Support incident response efforts in case of privacy breaches and working to minimize their impact.
- Work cross-functionally with employees at all levels across the company to ensure efficient integration of the Privacy Program into business processes.
- Manage adoption of policies, guidelines, manuals, and procedures for the Global Data Privacy Program.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- Have 6 years of experience in data privacy or comparable fields (mainly US privacy).
- Be proficient in understanding and grasping broader strategic objectives and how individual tasks contribute to achieving those goals.
- Handle multiple, competing tasks and deadlines.
- Have an entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to innovate.
- Be knowledgeable in CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA.
- Have privacy certifications in at least one of the following: CIPM, CIPP, CISSP, CIPT.
