Job Description
Position Objective:
The Human Resources Specialist provides administrative support to the human resource function, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. May also provide administrative support to the office.
Salary Range: $45,0000-$60,000 depending on experience.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Hybrid. 2 days in-person.

Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Support:
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions accurately and in a timely manner
- Processes required documents through HRIS
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
- Submits online investigation requests and assists with new employee background checks
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process
- Assists with recruitment processes, such as scheduling phone interviews or sending follow-up applicant correspondence
- Assists with the processing of terminations, unemployment claims, and employment verifications
- Schedules meetings as requested by the Human Resources team
- Maintains employee files
- Assists or prepares HR related correspondence as requested
- Prepares new employee files and maintains accurate employee files related to personal and work status affairs
- Conducts audits and generates reports in the HRIS system
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field and/or equivalent experience. Experience may substitute for Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of two years of related experience
Additional Information:
- This position will work directly in the field of Human Resources and will be supervised by a department leader
- Experience or the willingness to learn HR, Recruiting and Employee Administration and Coordination
- Familiarity with recruiting system software products use and administration (i.e. LinkedIn)
- Familiarity with HR recruiting laws, rules and regulations
- Excellent organizing, planning, and time-management skills
- Excellent MS-Office tools skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation. Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Attention to detail in composing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, using time efficiently and meeting deadlines
- Adaptable to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands and able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
- Dependable, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
- Excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
- Ability to work independently with little direction

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
