About the role:

UGL is seeking an experienced Lifting & Rigging Supervisor to support a major LNG Turnaround at Wheatstone. This is a 4-month contract on a 2:2 roster. (12 hour days).

Commencing June 2026, you will be responsible for providing critical support during the execution phases of a major LNG turnaround. 

This role is ideally suited to a supervisor with strong LNG / TAR experience, a solid understanding of Lifting & Rigging Planning and JDE (desirable), and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-compliance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Lead: Directly manage and lead a team of Scaffolders, Riggers and Crane operators to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration in executing project tasks.

  • Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring that all electrical and instrumentation activities adhere to industry safety standards and company policies.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of work meets project standards and specifications.

  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for Electrical activities, coordinating with other disciplines to optimize project timelines.

  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, equipment, and materials to meet project requirements and deadlines.

  • Communication: Foster effective communication within the team and collaborate with other discipline supervisors and project managers to address challenges and ensure smooth project progression.

  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues related to activities, providing innovative solutions to overcome obstacles.

  • Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of rigging & lifting activities, including daily reports, progress reports, and any required project documentation.

About you:

  • Proven experience as a Lifting & Rigging Supervisor within LNG / Oil & Gas Turnaround environments

  • Strong hands-on experience with Planning & Execution (mandatory)

  • Working knowledge of JDE and CMMS-based job planning systems (highly desirable)

  • Strong Excel capability and high computer literacy (Power BI and web-based tools advantageous)

  • Ability to work independently while engaging effectively with client representatives

  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and procedural discipline
