From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Responding to quality and food safety calls/incidents for the shift
- Review of 30 min quality checks, sensory of products, collection of samples for testing/retain/plating, and verification of packaging line code dates
- Verification of CP and CCP for some processing and packaging checks
- Perform Level 2 Inspections for CCP #4 as well as finished product testing for milk residue
- Audit lot tracking documentation
- Collection of samples for micro plating, reading and reporting for yogurt, milk, water, air, ingredients, and cream
- Place finished products and materials on hold ensuring accuracy of lot data, quantity, and material #.
- Lactose Testing
- Operate various analytical equipment including but not limited to FOSS FT3, CEM, Sprint Protein analyzer, Sample Diluters, viscometers, and pH Meters
- Room abuse testing reading and results documentation
- Creation of material, ingredient, and finished product holds as needed
- Periodic auditing of operations quality check program which includes weight control, pH, temperature, code dating etc.
- Shift support of any quality/food safety related issues
- Quality data management and reporting
- Sanitation Inspections for tanks, HTSTs, and packaging lines as well as completing associated documentation
- Screen check interpretations for CIP
- Some vacation coverage for opposite shift tech
- Responsible for communicating clear and concise shift notes daily
- All other duties as assigned

- Solid computer Skills (Will use Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, SAP, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 year college education – science background preferred
- Prior experience in food safety and quality as a quality or laboratory technician
