Patient Access Specialist PT 24 hours

MAIN FUNCTION: Outpatient and Emergency Room Registration: Responsible for the performance of all registration/pre-registration functions at all Patient Access intake points of entry. Communicates with patients, families, physicians, and insurance companies to obtain information and insurance verification through electronic verification system and to assure quality patient care and collection of co-pays, and deductibles if applicable. Interviews and registers patients. Provides other registration support as required. EDUCATION: High school graduation or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: Strong medical terminology skills are required.
