The Position

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play an important role in ensuring healthcare professionals and laboratories can operate with confidence, helping support better outcomes for patients across Indonesia.
Your Opportunity
As a Field Service Engineer based in Malang, you will be responsible for delivering technical service and engineering support across Roche Diagnostics’ laboratory network. You will support instrument installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and after-sales service activities to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will:
Perform installation, troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance for Roche Diagnostics analytical systems within the assigned territory
Conduct pre-installation inspections and ensure all installations are completed according to Roche quality and compliance standards
Deliver responsive and high-quality technical support to minimize instrument downtime and customer complaints
Manage and maintain accurate service documentation, including CRM updates, service reports, territory reports, and expense documentation
Handle customer inquiries and technical complaints in accordance with Roche procedures and applicable SOPs
Ensure proper spare parts management and inventory accuracy to support operational excellence
Collaborate closely with internal teams and customers to maintain strong service relationships and support continuous improvement initiatives
Who you are
You are a proactive and customer-focused technical professional who enjoys solving problems and working in a dynamic field-based environment. You are able to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with internal stakeholders and customers.
To be successful in this role, you bring:
Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Electromedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related technical fields. Candidates with an Associate Degree (D3/D4) in Teknik Elektromedik or related technical fields are also encouraged to apply, particularly those with strong hands-on technical experience in the diagnostics, medical device, or healthcare industry
Minimum 2 years of experience in technical service, field service engineering, or equipment maintenance, preferably within the medical diagnostics, healthcare, or medical device industry
Strong troubleshooting capability and hands-on technical experience in supporting laboratory or medical equipment
Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English proficiency, both written and verbal
Computer literacy and familiarity with computer networking concepts
Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced customer-focused environment
Willingness to be based in Malang and travel within the assigned territory as required
