Location expectations:
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

We are seeking an Associate Platform Engineer to join our Agile Tools team, which owns and supports enterprise platforms including Jira, Confluence, Dragon Boat, and Mural.

This is a hybrid engineering role that combines platform support, DevOps practices, and hands-on development exposure. You’ll play a key role in enabling teams across the bank by supporting critical collaboration tools while gaining experience with modern deployment processes, Kubernetes environments, and CI/CD pipelines.

This position is ideal for an early-career engineer who is curious, adaptable, and interested in working across both application and infrastructure layers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Administer and support enterprise Agile tooling platforms
  • Onboard internal users, manage access, and troubleshoot tool-related issues
  • Partner with internal teams across the organization to support platform usage and resolve issues
  • Support Kubernetes-based environments used to host internal platforms
  • Assist with deployments and infrastructure changes using Terraform and related tools
  • Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines across development, test, and production environments
  • Help deploy platform updates, enhancements, and features across environments
  • Participate in a light on-call rotation for platform support (low incident volume)
  • Collaborate with team members on platform improvements, automation, and reliability initiatives
  • Contribute ideas and continuously learn within a highly collaborative Agile environment

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Basic experience with CI/CD pipelines and software deployment processes
  • Exposure to containerized environments such as Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab
  • Hands-on programming experience in at least one language
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including deployments across environments (dev → test → production)
  • Foundational knowledge of systems, infrastructure, and application environments
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise platform support or internal tooling environments
  • Experience supporting or administering internal collaboration tools
  • Exposure to Kubernetes tooling such as Helm

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $92,820.00 - $109,200.00
