We are currently seeking a motivated General Apprentice to join our growing team. We are a performance-driven and safety-minded “Commercial Hardscape Contractor'', committed to completing projects on time and, often, ahead of schedule. Our clients include; Universities, Municipalities, NCDOT, and Commercial entities throughout NC, SC, VA, TN, GA, and FL. Our team takes pride in our craftsmanship, safety, and attention to detail.
Job Description:
As a General Apprentice, you will be an essential team member, working alongside experienced professionals to build commercial projects safely and on time. From hardscapes to vertical construction, you will learn many new skills and processes to get the job done. Listed below are some of the critical responsibilities of a General Apprentice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation of various Collegiate/Commercial elements such as terraces, streetscapes, retaining walls, masonry, concrete sidewalks/driveways, and different commercial building items
- Operate various hand tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Follow project plans and specifications as directed by the crew leader
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and company policies
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely and efficient project completion
- Attend training events and company meetings as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by the crew leader or supervisor
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials (up to 75 lbs.)
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow directions
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Previous experience in hardscape/concrete installation is a plus but not required
- Ability to work out of town, overtime, or weekends, if necessary.
