As a Senior Distribution Services Manager, you will lead distribution operations that keep products moving efficiently, reliably, and cost-effectively across the Whataburger supply chain. You will drive operational excellence, strengthen distributor performance, and execute strategies that support business growth while ensuring continuity during disruptions. Working closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Finance, and external partners, you'll help build a distribution network that delivers exceptional service and dependable results.

Day-to-Day Ingredients — Responsibilities

As a Senior Distribution Services Manager, you will:

• Lead distribution operations and strategic execution
• Drive service, efficiency, and cost improvement initiatives
• Manage distributor performance and contract compliance
• Partner across Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and Finance
• Analyze performance metrics to identify risks and opportunities
• Lead response efforts during supply chain disruptions
• Resolve complex distribution and logistics challenges
• Improve delivery reliability and product availability
• Coach, develop, and mentor leaders and team members

What You Bring to the Table — Required Experience

As a Senior Distribution Services Manager, you must have: 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 6+ years of distribution, logistics, supply chain, or related experience
• Experience leading operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
• Experience managing distributor or third-party logistics partnerships
• Proven cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills
• Strong problem-solving and strategic planning abilities
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams

Extra Toppings — Desired Experience

As a Senior Distribution Services Manager, we prefer you to have: 

• Experience in restaurant, retail, foodservice, or consumer goods distribution
• Multi-site distribution network management experience
• Knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory optimization
• Experience supporting business continuity and disruption recovery efforts
• Advanced supply chain analytics and reporting expertise
• Success leading large-scale operational change initiatives

Where & How You’ll Work

This role is based at the San Antonio Home Office, working on‑site Monday through Thursday with remote flexibility on Fridays. In this role, you’ll have strong collaboration with leadership, across cross-functional teams, and with external partners to align capabilities with restaurant realities. The work environment is fast‑paced and requires sound judgment, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration skills. Full‑time availability is required, with occasional extended hours based on business needs, along with occasional travel to properties, project sites, and external meetings. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the San Antonio Home Office.
