Remote - Long Island, NY

As an Entry-Level Service Technician at Terex, based in Long Island, NY, you will play a pivotal role in growing and expanding our service support across the US to continue to help serve our communities by listening, responding, and delivering solutions. Our service function is key to our business success, and we are looking to add skilled team members as we expand our service network. We continually invest in our team members by providing ongoing technical training to develop your skills and grow our business.

What you’ll do 
• Strictly follow all safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others 
• Develop your new skills to take your career to the next level  
• Count on a dedicated support team committed to your safety and success  
• Work on a variety of different equipment (Truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment and/or aerial work platforms preferred) 
• Work as part of a team in an expanding and growing environment  
• Count on a consistent schedule each week, with opportunities for overtime

What you’ll bring 
• Must be able to successfully pass MVR  
• Must be able to obtain an active DOT qualification  
Must live within 20 miles of Long Island, NY 
• Experience, educational background and/or desire to learn mechanics, electronics, or hydraulic systems is preferred 
• Basic computer and shop math skills  
• Ability to read basic blueprints, drawings and work orders 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based, safety focused workplace  
• Ability to travel overnight within the assigned region  
• Some trade school or equivalent training  
• Strong reliability, initiative and a positive attitude  
• Willingness and eagerness to meet and exceed deadlines and goals while learning and growing in a fast past, team-focused environment  
• Own basic, job-related tools  
• Must be willing to work varied hours and be on the road up to three to four nights per week
• Able to work comfortably in tight spaces and at heights, climb ladders, access vehicles from various positions, lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs., and perform duties in diverse weather conditions

The compensation range for this position is $30-$35 hourly. Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
