Title:
Senior Security RepresentativeKBR is seeking a highly motivated Security Representative / Manager to support the Space Systems Command mission at Schriever Space Force Base. The selected candidate will collaborate with other facility personnel to develop and maintain a formal security program and associated policies.
The Security Representative works as a team player, sets priorities, and manages customer expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Security Representative should possess the ability to articulate and present intelligent, decisive, and risk-managed security recommendations, based on limited and or sometimes conflicting information. The Security Representative interacts with internal and external customers and Government security officials in performance of duties. The Security Representative will perform functions in accordance with DoD regulations and guidance, including DoD 5205.07 SAP Manual, Volumes 1-4, ICD 705 DoDM 5105.21 and DoD 5220.22-M.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees physical security requirements for the location, access control, alarm testing, visitor management, secure storage, and daily operations compliance.
- Ensures all site contractors adhere to DD 254 requirements and government-issued program security instructions.
- Conducts self-inspections, supports audits, and manages incident reporting and mitigation.
- Maintains site-specific SOPs, emergency action procedures, and training programs.
- Plans, schedules and executes facility modifications ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Develops and administers security programs and procedures for classified materials, documents, and equipment.
- Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations.
- Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
- Prepares manuals outlining regulations.
- Establishes procedures for handling / storing / keeping records and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials.
- Conducts security education classes and security audits.
- Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
- Adheres to policies, practices, and procedures of the 32 CFR Part 117: National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM).
- Adheres to the DoD Manual 5205.07 Vol 1-4.
- Under minimal supervision, administers routine aspects of the DOD or other industrial security program to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
- Reviews / submits DD Form 254s.
- Knowledgeable in the use of Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Joint Access Database (JADE) and COMSEC.
- Monitors security procedures; ensures compliance with all aspects of the security program including PERSEC, physical and administrative procedures.
- Work Locations: Colorado Springs, CO, Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB) - Routine travel between sites required.
Qualifications:
Required:
- An active TS/SCI with ACCM and SAP eligibility.
- Working knowledge of security systems such as DISS, NISS, NBIS, SCINet, SIMS, JADE, and SCIF/SAPF design/management across multiple geographic locations.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the NISPOM, ICD 705, DoDM 5205.07, and related IC and security standards.
- Experience with SCIF/SAPF accreditation and compliance documentation (Fixed Facility Checklist, alarm test results, etc.).
- Familiarity with TEMPEST, COMSEC, and OPSEC requirements.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently or with a team with exceptional organizational, communication, and analytical skills and the ability to coordinate with senior government and contractor leadership.
Desired:
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field.
- Experience coordinating with DIA, GSSOs, PSOs, SAPMOs, and other government security stakeholders.
- Prior experience supporting Space Force or Air Force SAP programs is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of classified systems accreditation processes and RMF/NSS guidance.

Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40hrs
Basic Compensation:
$120,000 - $140,000
This range is for Colorado only.
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
