Compensation Range
Hourly: $23.80 - $35.80 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to develop end-to-end Request for Proposals (RFP) responses and other proposal types for business-to-business opportunities with Commercial Segment sales teams.
Essential Functions
Develop, author, and edit content for business-to-business (B2B) RFP/proposal responses to represent Commerce Bank’s products and services and to portray Commerce Bank’s unique value proposition in compelling, nuanced, and accurate ways
Meet strict and competing deadlines while collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders
Develop B2B proposal responses of varying scope and priority levels – often simultaneously
Coordinate project timelines and support deliverables tracking in collaboration with project stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met
Adhere to Commerce Bank brand and style guidelines, including Associated Press Style (AP)
Assist in maintaining a content management system library by reviewing existing content for accuracy and collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other internal stakeholders for verification/assistance as required
Support tracking proposal win/loss rates, products/services offered, market locations and other key factors
Obtain necessary content approvals from key internal stakeholders
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Intermediate knowledge of AP style writing, including best practices
Excellent writing and editing skills with a proven track record of meeting competing deadlines while still producing accurate and compelling customer-facing content
Effective interpersonal skills with productive interaction at all levels of the organization
Ability to remain flexible to new tasks and assignments
Ability to prioritize and manage competing projects
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage multiple priorities without direct supervision
Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Outlook
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Editing, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, Communication Studies or equivalent combination of education and experience required
1+ years content writing experience preferred
Graphic design experience preferred
Salesforce.com or other CRMs and content management systems experience preferred
Payment systems, commercial banking, or financial services experience preferred

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $23.80 to $35.80 per hour.
