Job Description
Job Description In this role, as a BAE SYSTEMS Overhead Crane Operator and Rigger, you are the heartbeat of our logistics operation. You aren’t just moving parts; you are ensuring that high-value defense products are safely loaded, transported, and delivered with absolute precision. Operating within a culture of continuous improvement, you will be responsible for the movement and storage of critical materials while upholding the highest standards of safety, cost, and quality.
We are looking for a professional who balances technical expertise with a disciplined approach to safety. You should be an expert in the art of rigging—proficient with slings, chains, and hardware, and fluent in the hand and arm signals that keep a warehouse floor synchronized.
Your day-to-day will be dynamic and hands-on. You will master a wide array of equipment, from overhead cranes and high-capacity pneumatic and hard-tire forklifts (with and without rigging booms) to flatbed trucks and man lifts. Beyond operation, you will serve as a guardian of safety, conducting meticulous daily, quarterly, and pre-use inspections on all rigging, fixtures, and equipment to ensure every lift is a safe lift.
Starting rate - $32.55 per hour
