Foster Care Therapist

Turning Point Family Services is seeking a provisionally or fully licensed professional (LCSW, LCMHC, or LMFT) to join our foster care team. For over 23 years, we’ve provided mental health services across Iredell, Cabarrus, and Mecklenburg counties. Turning point family services specialize in foster care services. We currently offer Intensive Alternative Family Treatment as our foster care service. We also have a group home located in concord that is for crisis stabilization Our mission is to deliver compassionate care, inspire hope, and empower families.

Position Summary

  • Provide individual and family therapy for IAFT and CSTP clients
  • Coordinate assessments and treatment planning
  • Offer clinical expertise and direction for interventions
  • Provide weekly progress on foster care and residential clients with treatment team
  • Participate on call rotation on call schedule

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage & Family Therapy
  • Licensure: Fully or provisionally licensed in NC
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience with the population served
  • Skills: Strong communication, empathy, ethical practice, and clinical expertise
  • Travel: Home and community-based visits required; valid driver’s license and insurance
