Job Description
Valley Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Access Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients and families. In this role, you will professionally interview and register patients, verify demographic and insurance information, obtain authorizations and pre-certifications, and ensure accurate documentation to support proper billing and revenue processes. You will explain hospital policies, collect copays and deposits, maintain EMTALA compliance, and provide courteous assistance while safeguarding patient privacy under HIPAA guidelines. The ideal candidate has at least two years of healthcare or insurance experience, strong communication and computer skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
