Position Summary
We are seeking to hire a candidate for the role of “Technician” to join the Pharmaceutical Research and Development (PRD) function based in Navi Mumbai. The selected candidate will support formulation scientists in developing various pharmaceutical formulations. This role focuses on accurate execution of laboratory experiments, documentation of experimental data, raw material inventory management, support for installation and qualification new equipments, maintaining operational status of existing laboratory equipments, maintaining safe, compliant, and organized environment for formulation laboratories.
Key Responsibilities
v To support formulation scientists for development of various pharmaceutical formulations.
v Execute formulation experiments for solid oral, liquid oral, topical and injectable formulations.
v Perform routine in-process and finished product tests for various formulations.
v Support stability studies: Packaging for stability studies, labelling and charging for stability studies, record observations and maintain stability logs.
v Document work in lab notebooks / electronic lab notebooks, batch records or any other systems as company policies.
v Set up and operate formulation and processing equipments. Troubleshoot basic equipment or process issues.
v Responsible for raw material and packaging material inventory management.
v Maintain laboratory organization (5S), cleanliness, and readiness; manage waste disposal as per EHS requirements.
v Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (SOP updates, method improvements, efficiency and safety enhancements).
Qualifications
v Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences
v 8 - 10 years of hands-on experience in formulation development or finished dosage form manufacturing
Essential Skills & Competencies
v Good communication, presentation and teamwork skills. Able to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
v Demonstrated ability to follow SOPs, batch instructions, and safety procedures with strong attention to detail.
v Capable of handling laboratory scale manufacturing equipments like sifter, blender, mills, fluid bed processor, high shear granulator, tablet press, spray dryer, autoclave, homogenizers etc.
v Strong documentation skills and basic proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word).
v Experience with ELN/LIMS, SAP will be an added advantage.
v Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) / Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
