Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Warrior will be required to greet the guests entering and leaving the hotel. Conduct their duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the hotel’s policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained.

We are looking for 3 Attendants who can perform the work of Warriors. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Reports to Bell Captain during each shift.
  • Opens car doors for guests arriving and departing the hotel.
  • Creates a professional and friendly impression to all guests with sincere greetings.
  • Assists guests with directions and information on hotel facilities and the local area.
  • Ensure that the driveway is free of congestion and that cars are not left parked on the driveway for more than five minutes.
  • Ensure that the driveway is always kept clean.
  • Assist guests with their transport, be it for day trips, airport transfers or taxi.
  • Prioritizes tasks to the Porters to ensure that cars are parked and brought up from the car park promptly.
  • Sign in and out with finger scan allowing sufficient time to commence shift at the rostered time.
  • Be proactive in approach to the job and work within the specific standards and procedures.
  • To demonstrate a high level of product knowledge and job skills, showing enthusiasm to increase this knowledge.
  • Work efficiently at all times.
  • Keep all work areas clean and tidy in association with workplace standards.
  • Promote by example the principles of the Human Truths and Sheraton Core Values – Warm, Connected, Community, at all times to guests and fellow associates.
  • Be aware of all services and facilities offered by Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort.
  • Have a good understanding of both product and equipment used throughout the working day.

 

General Requirements

  • Meet the grooming standards of the hotel as set out in the Associate Handbook.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of Associates working in the Department.
  • Adhere to and promote the Marriott Standards.
  • Effectively implement and support all Sheraton - Marriott related programs.
  • Maintain company confidentiality, ensuring that business dealings within the organization are not discussed with outside parties.
  • Be well versed and knowledgeable of Sheraton Fiji’s Fire and Evacuation procedures as well as health and safety requirements in the Workplace.
  • Comply with and abide by all hotel policies and procedures and information as outlined in Associate handbook.
  • Comply with Marriott worldwide Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and the Policy against Insider training at all times.
  • To work as and where directed by Management plus follow all reasonable requests.

 

About You 

  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Working rights in Fiji 
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • have a positive and professional attitude, and are comfortable working in a physically active role. 
  • communicate clearly, work well as part of a team, and follow procedures with attention to detail
