Function/Duties of Position
- Studies on ion channels/Molecular Biology.
- Data analysis/maintaining laboratory notebook.
- Manuscript preparation and assisting in grant writing.
- Training other lab members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
PhD in relevant field AND 1 year of relevant experience; OR
Master's Degree in relevant field AND 5 years of relevant experience; OR
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field AND 9 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated skills in electrophysiology.
- Demonstrated skills in functional measurements on ion channels.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in Biophysics, Physiology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
- 1-5 years of experience in electrophysiology methods.
Demonstrated Two electrode voltage clamp studies of ion channels expressed in oocytes
Expertise in using patch clamp measurements of ion channels .
Additional Details
Individuals are expected to work on-site to conduct laboratory research, handling chemical and biological reagents. Research will be performed on the OHSU campus in Portland, OR. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends if needed.
