Supports personnel dosimetry programs, including issuance, tracking, and collection of dosimeters.
Performs personnel contamination surveys and ensure proper decontamination when necessary.
Provides radiological coverage for operations, maintenance, and waste handling activities involving DU.
Ensures work is performed in accordance with Radiological Work Permits (RWPs) and applicable procedures.
Ensures compliance with applicable TDEC, OSHA, and site-specific radiological safety requirements.
Maintains accurate records of radiological surveys, monitoring data, and personnel exposure.
Operates, maintains, and performs source checks on radiological monitoring instruments.
Identifies and reports instrument malfunctions or calibration issues.
Responds to radiological alarms, abnormal conditions, or contamination events.
Supports investigation and documentation of radiological incidents or near misses.
Assists in training personnel on radiological safety practices, procedures, and requirements.
Reinforces proper radiological controls and safe work practices in the field.
Promotes a strong radiological safety culture by adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
Actively participates in safety meetings, briefings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
