Locke Supply is looking for motivated individuals who have a passion for sales and customer service.

The Commercial Electrical- Inside Sales Associate position is a full-time, salaried position (Monday through Friday) in Oklahoma City, OK. This position is eligible for monthly commission and Benefits (include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and ESOP).

Locke Supply is an Employee-Owned Company and a premium supplier in Plumbing, Electric, and HVAC markets all over the Southwest with over 180 Walk-in locations in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, and Virginia. Locke is headquarters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

What are the Responsibilities? 

As a member of the commercial sales team at Locke Supply, you will price products in alignment with company guidelines, estimate potential jobs, and coordinate with our warehouse and delivery team. In addition, you will assist our customers with solutions to their daily job needs.

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person regarding electrical products, pricing, and availability.
  • Prepare and process quotes and sales orders accurately and efficiently
  • Provide technical product knowledge and support to help customers and outside sales select appropriate materials
  • Coordinate with vendors and create purchase orders to source non-stock or special-order items
  • Follow up on open quotes and proactively pursue sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with outside sales to support customer relationships and project needs.
  • Monitor and track order status to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any delays or issues
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both outside sales and their customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Stay current on product knowledge, industry trends, and manufacturer updates.
  • Support counter sales and will-call orders when needed.
  • Handle returns, warranty claims, and credits in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with branch inventory management
  • Create delivery sheets and work closely with the warehouse/back-of-house team to ensure all deliveries are accurate and

    made on time.

  • Assist in any additional duties as assigned to support branch operations. 


As an inside sales associate, you will have the opportunity to build a comprehensive understanding of Locke Supply’s product offerings, network with Locke Supply’s vendors and manufacturers, strengthen our relationships with our largest customers, and play a major part in Locke Supply’s growth in an exciting, competitive and fast-paced industry.

What are the requirements for an Inside Sales Associate? 

  • Knowledge and skills common with 1 or more years’ experience in sales
  • Electrical knowledge and experience, required
  • Field Electrical Experience 
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work on office equipment
  • Desire to develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Consultative sales experience, preferred

What is the environment? 

Working conditions for an inside sales associate are a combination of retail store, office, warehouse, hands on training exercises, meetings, workshops, and presentations. Occasional travel may be required and could include sales calls to customers’ offices and/or job sites. 


Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, 1 hour lunch.
