Overview of the Specialist
BETA is a self-clearing securities processing solution for wealth management firms. Built on years of expert knowledge and hands-on experience, BETA provides critical back-office controls including corporate action management, middle office exception management, and front office account management and trading tools for advisors.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Gitlab, Terraform, and AWS, along with proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python. You will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing complete CI/CD pipelines on GLU, IAC with terraform for AWS.
Reporting to the Group Manager, Technology Development, this role is part of a Scrum team for DevOps catering to Beta Organization that develops customer facing cloud hosted application(s). This role necessitates meetings and require heavy collaboration within and across teams that are spread across geography. Our business model is hybrid, working from our Bangalore campus.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Specialist
- Write Infrastructure as Code using frameworks such as Terraform or CloudFormation for AWS & Snowflake Infrastructure.
- Design, architect, and implement CI/CD pipelines on AWS and on-premise (hybrid) environments.
- Build and manage images, ensuring modularity of image builds.
- Manage production-level infrastructure, clusters, and monitoring tools.
- Identify opportunities to reduce time to delivery, rework, and total cost of ownership while improving system requirements.
- Communicate effectively with teams such as Dev, QA, TechOps, and CloudOps
Skills and Expereince of the Specialist:
- 6+ years of experience in a DevOps role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Write Terraform code for AWS , Snowflake.
- Well versed in AWS services, Networking, VPC etc.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support data and application workloads.
- Design and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines using .gitlab-ci.yml.
- Manage merge request workflows, triggers, and pipeline execution.
- Configure job stages, rules, dependencies, artifacts, and caching.
- Build reusable pipelines using templates.
- Debug failed pipelines and resolve CI/CD issues.
- Optimize pipeline reliability and execution time.
- Analyze logs and improve CI/CD observability.
- Experience with AWS maintaining production-grade applications.
- Experience in containerization and orchestrating containers (Kubernetes, AWS-ECS, AWS-Fargate).
- In-depth knowledge of Linux environments.
- AWS Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Certification is an advantage.
- Experience working in heavily regulated industries or environments like the financial sector.
