
Truck Shop Supervisor
Job Description
This position will supervise yard drivers, salvage, trailer washer and equipment. The position can work without a manager physically on site.
Key Responsibilities:

Commitment to providing a safe work environment

Determine equipment and manpower requirements for daily operational needs

Supervise yard drivers, salvage, trailer washer and equipment

Monitor employees daily work assignments
-
Work with yard drivers to improve driving skills
-
Work closely with Transportation Management Team
- Performs other duties as assigned
Key Requirements:
-
Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
-
3-5 years of supervisory experience
-
Knowledge of safely operating a mule, tractor and trailer a plus and MHE equipment
-
Knowledge of inhaul/backhaul procedures
-
Familiar with work environment, time and attendance requirements
-
High degree of initiative and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills
-
Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
-
Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions
- Valid driver’s license for types of vehicles to be driven
-
Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift
-
Have appropriate eye, hand and foot coordination to properly use various equipment and/or tools

To work in different outside temperatures, (snow, heat, rain, etc.)

Must pass all company testing

Must submit to OSHA Powered Industrial Truck training and pass associated tests
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude
