Summary |
The Live Accounting Manager oversees all aspects of the General Ledger. This position involves developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial and managerial statements. The successful candidate will apply accounting principles to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports. |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Supports the Vision, Mission, and Values of Allen Harim
- Administer financial and accounting practices of live operations business.
- Perform accounting duties, including budgeting and cost control for live operations.
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries as needed.
- Review the assigned balance sheet accounts to ensure they reconcile with the supporting documents.
- Ensure that live operations departments post weekly data in MTECH entirely and on time.
- Ensure that live operations departments send accounting the necessary weekly and monthly reports on time.
- Review the weekly live cost estimate and the Grower Performance Report.
- Complete the month-end closing process, ensuring the live accounting side is finalized by the deadline.
- Analyze and interpret to evaluate operating results in terms of cost, budgets, and trends with statistical and accounting information.
- Prepare and maintain the annual live budget.
- Provide external auditors with the audit request items in the annual financial audit process.
- Collaborate with the corporate accounting manager to prepare quarterly IFRS statements.
- Coordinate the year-end feed inventory inspection with the external auditors.
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly ICFR requirements.
- Conduct inventory inspection on a regular basis.
- Prepare and follow up on requests from Korean HQ as requested.
- Reconcile and provide 1099 information for broiler and breeder grower pay.
- Review new broiler housing and breeder housing incentive information.
- Supervise Ingredient Payable Specialist and Live Accountant.
- Review the Agristats data, weekly and monthly, and respond to management and Agristats personnel inquiries.
- Supervise live accountant for any adjustments related to broiler litter in MTECH.
- Supervise live accountant for any broiler farm and/or changes in entity numbers.
- Review all live accounting-related reports before distribution.
- Supervise dwelling rental agreements that Live Accountant is maintaining.
- Communicate internally and externally regarding MTECH technical analysis and issues.
- All other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- Five to seven years of progressive and increasingly complicated accounting related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPA preferred
- Experience with IFRS a strong plus
- Cost Accounting experience a plus
- MTECH and SAP experience a plus
