Summary

Support the heartbeat of our operations by ensuring the goods and services our teams rely on are sourced efficiently and on time. As an Indirect Buyer, you will manage day-to-day procurement activities including requisition processing, purchase order maintenance, and purchasing system updates. You will serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders across the business, helping resolve purchasing needs quickly and accurately while collaborating with Accounts Payable and cross functional teams to keep procurement processes running smoothly. This role is ideal for a detail driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong relationships, and takes pride in delivering reliable, high quality procurement support.

 

This position has a target wage of $23.00 - $34.25 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (PST)

 

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Guide stakeholders to the appropriate buying channels and procurement methods.
  • Manage and prioritize requisition queues to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Review and convert requisitions to purchase orders, validating completeness and compliance.
  • Solicit vendor quotes and support business stakeholders with transactional sourcing needs.
  • Monitor Purchasing confirmations and invoice resolution as needed.
  • Analyze procurement system data to identify root causes of noncompliance and process delays.
  • Recommend and support improvements that reduce turnaround times and drive policy compliance.
  •  Identify trends to improve purchasing efficiency.
  • Build collaborative relationships with business stakeholders and Procurement peers.
  • Respond to inquiries related to requisitions, purchase orders, and deliveries.
  • Provide guidance on Procurement policies, procedures, and system navigation.
  • Coordinate with AP and other teams to resolve purchasing and payment exceptions.

 

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing operations, or supply chain support.
  • Diploma (w/ additional training on E-Procurement, purchasing systems, vendor management, and MS Office).
  • Computer software (automated purchasing systems such as Maximo, MCMS, and/or SAP, MS Office, Paper wise), scanners, printers, copiers, fax machine, multi-line telephone, and calculator.

 

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  • Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
