PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Under the general supervision of the Pharmacy General Manager or Staff Pharmacist, and in compliance with all applicable organizational policies, standards and regulatory requirements, the individual is responsible for receiving prescription orders, verifying that information is complete, filling orders with prescribed medications and affixing labels, preparing orders for delivery to nursing facilities, and ordering, counting, and labeling all medications and supplies. Researches and communicates drug information to physicians, nurses, other health care personnel, patients and families. Provides support to billing and medical records personnel.
