Your New Role 

HBO Max is searching for a Senior Manager, Social Media Strategy and Insights  LATAM based in our Warner Bros. Discovery Mexico City office. This role is responsible for turning social data into actionable insights that optimize content performance, deepen audience engagement, and drive business decisions—particularly across Latin American markets. 

You will partner cross-functionally with marketing, content, brand, and global analytics teams to elevate our social strategy through advanced reporting, social listening, and data science methodologies. Cross-cultural awareness, curiosity and trend-spotting, and storytelling with data a must! 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead end-to-end social performance measurement, including data collection, analysis, and reporting 

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that drive strategic decision-making 

  • Identify trends, anomalies, and performance drivers across platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, YouTube, X, etc.) 

  • Partner with social listening agencies and global data science teams to apply advanced analytics, modeling, and forecasting 

  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations 

  • Inform content strategy, audience growth, and campaign optimization through data-backed insights 

  • Develop audience segmentation frameworks, with a strong focus on Latin American consumer behavior 

  • Identify cultural, behavioral, and platform trends across LATAM markets to guide strategy 

  • Oversee social listening initiatives to monitor brand sentiment, conversation trends, and emerging topics 

  • Analyze competitive landscape and industry benchmarks 

  • Surface risks, opportunities, and cultural moments in real time 

  • Reporting & Stakeholder Communication 

  • Build and deliver executive-level reports and presentations 

  • Communicate key findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a compelling way 

  • Establish best practices for measurement consistency across teams and regions 

  • Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Collaborate with content, media, brand, and regional teams to align on performance goals 

  • Serve as a thought leader in social analytics and innovation 

 

Qualifications 

  • 7+ years of experience in social media strategy, analytics, digital insights, or related field 

  • Experience working with or analyzing Latin American audiences and markets 

  • Proven ability to influence strategy through data storytelling 

  • Expertise with social analytics and listening tools (e.g., Sprinklr, ListenFirst, Looker) 

  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) 

  • Experience working with large datasets and familiarity with data science concepts (e.g., segmentation, regression, predictive modeling) 

  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into clear narratives  

  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills  

  • Deep understanding of social platforms, algorithms, and content performance dynamics 

  • Strong cultural fluency and understanding of Latin American markets and audiences (e.g. Mexico, Brasil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru) 

  • English and Spanish and/or Portuguese proficiency preferred 

  • Knowledge of the entertainment industry 

  • Passion for pop culture
