Business Analyst EMEA
What You Are be doing:
- Financial planning & forecasting: Build and maintain forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans; analyze variances vs. plan, prior year, and latest outlook.
- Business performance analysis: Provide margin, pricing, volume, mix, and cost-to-serve analysis; identify risks/opportunities and recommend actions.
- Month-end support & reporting: Support close activities (accruals, reclasses, review of results) and deliver recurring management reports and dashboards.
- Management presentations: Prepare clear, decision-oriented materials for leadership (commentary, bridge analyses, KPIs, and key drivers).
- Data integrity & controls: Ensure data accuracy across ERP/reporting tools; maintain documentation and follow SOX/internal control expectations.
- Process improvement: Streamline reporting and planning processes (automation, standard templates, self-service reporting) to improve speed and quality.
- Stakeholder partnering: Act as a finance business partner to operational teams; challenge assumptions and support strategic initiatives.
- Ad hoc analysis: Support business cases, investment analyses, and special projects (e.g., cost reductions, profitability improvement, working capital).
What we are looking for:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3+ years in financial analysis, FP&A, or controllership in a matrixed organization.
- Technical skills: Advanced Excel; experience with ERP (e.g., Oracle) and BI/reporting tools (Power BI/Tableau or similar).
- Financial acumen: Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet linkages, accrual concepts, and variance/driver analysis.
- Communication: Ability to translate complex data into clear narratives for non-finance partners and leaders. Business fluency in Italian and English are mandatory.
- Work style: Detail-oriented, deadlines-driven, proactive, and comfortable working with ambiguity.
