HR Business Partner, Melbourne

This role is both hands-on and strategic and provides expertise in the areas of employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, compensation, employee retention, coaching/development, conflict management and ad hoc projects as necessary. Tesla’s HR Partners are passionate about their work and help deliver positive change every day.

This is a fulltime, permanant role, however we are also open to discussing part time working arrangements.

What You'll Do

Be a credible activist for your clients, your team and our mission. Exert influence to create positive change and proactively mitigate and resolve employee issues. Adaptability and capability to learn the business of your clientPartner effectively with HR specialist groups including Learning & Development, Recruiting and CompensationProactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience and partner with management to develop and implement innovative and lasting solutionsBe a leader throughout Tesla. Advise, mentor/coach and guide all levels of management to develop positive employee engagement capability and leadership skillsBuild credibility and trust among employees. Resolve employee concerns through compassion, a systematic approach, clear documentation and follow-throughWork with leaders to develop effective organizational structures to drive organizational health. Consult and coach management to build and serve high performing teamsProvide coaching and guidance for junior members of the HR teamManage Workers Compensation claims for all states that your business units operate inConsult and advise on succession planning, talent reviews and driving the annual merit planning cycleActively develop our team members in conjunction with leaders

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant work experience3+ years’ experience in a HR Business Partner or other HR role that includes coaching, employee relations, compensation, training and HR project management or program implementationThis role will focus on predominately supporting our blue-collar workforce including Body Repair (Collison) and Warehousing. Experience in these areas is an advantage Experience objectively coaching employees and management through complex ER issuesApplied knowledge of Australian employment lawApplied knowledge of Modern Awards. Some exposure to any of the following a plus: Vehicle Repair, Services and Retail Award 2020, Clerks Private Sector Award 2020, and the Electrical Power Industry Award 2020Demonstrated experience in organizational development, change management, coaching and communicationsDemonstrated ability to effectively partner with all levels of the organization and positively influence teamsProven planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasksOutstanding written and verbal communication; must be a clear, concise and persuasive communicatorValid driver’s licence Ability to travel on a regular basis within Australia
