Job Description
The Master Machinist 2 is highly experienced and independently operates a wide variety of CNC machines which may include: CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Vertical Machining Centers, grinders, CMM etc. with limited supervision. These Utility Machinists are expected to run 2-5 machines simultaneously and understand all aspects of set up and precision measuring across the shop. They also train other operators, programmers, engineers, and machinists. They are capable of creating one off proto-type parts and fixtures with no direction or formal drawings based on knowledge and judgement.
