OVERVIEW

The Program Director coordinates, and directs responsibilities for Program Managers. Includes planning, organization, control, integration, schedules, product cost and quality. Ensure company goals are met regarding profitability and customer satisfaction. Prepare reports to senior management on existing customer status with regards to sales, customer satisfaction, and current business.?


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Plans, assist, and implement corrective actions for current customers for OTD, Schedule changes, and adjustments.
  • Plans and implements new Customer programs, including defining the project philosophy, activities, milestones, per customer requirements. 
  • Coordinates the preparation and publication of a monthly highlights report regarding developments at landed customers and the sales revenue report, customer revenue projections, and monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecasts, in addition to other reports requested by management.? 
  • Conducts Project Team meetings, documents action items and keeps team apprised of Customer concerns. 
  • Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving design, engineering, and manufacturing problems. 
  • Oversees coordination, preparation and delivery of all Program deliverables, design documents, and Bid Packages. 
  • Provides guidance for quoting changes to existing products or new product business. 
  • Coaches and trains new Program Management employees. 
  • Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. 
  • Responsible for margins and driving results via cost reductions and customer pricing. 
  • Manages & directs the Strategic Customer Team process; monitors individual team strategies, metrics, customer satisfaction, and sales growth objectives.? 
  • Analyzes program profitability against targeted levels, identifies causes of discrepancies, and drives corrective action to improve profitability. 
  • Manages department staff; responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, coaching, and developing talent, addressing issues and resolving problems. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 8 years related metals manufacturing experience; or 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.? 
  • Previous management/supervisory experience. 
  • Previous account management experience and CAD experience required.? 
  • Must possess demonstrated ability to handle large, major accounts, and partner with staff in problem solving situations. 

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management or a related field

  • Remote with 25% travel
