Job Title: Circle of Boating Technician

Department: Rental Boats

Reports To: Circle of Boating Manager or General Manager

The Circle of Boating Technician is responsible for carrying out rental boat repair operations for the marina. The Circle of Boating Technician’s primary responsibility is the customer, and the maintenance and repair of rental vessels. The Circle of Boating Technician projects a professional company image through all types of interaction. As this is a fast-paced environment, this individual must be able to work under pressure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all mechanical and electrical problems on rental boats, motors, and trailers
2. Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive customer experience
3. Install all types of rental accessory items to include batteries, cables and propellers

Education and experience:

1. Marine Service Technician Diploma or certification required
2. Knowledge or related experience in the marine service industry
3. Excellent customer service skills – known as someone who goes above and beyond

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to fifty (50) pounds

1. Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device

1. Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally

1. Must have flexible schedule to include working weekends and holidays during busy season
