Head of Finance and Operations

Compensation: $180,000 - $220,000 / year

- Financial & Operational Acumen: The ability to seamlessly connect financial strategy with day-to-day operations — from SaaS metrics and forecasting to supply chain and vendor management — ensuring smart, scalable decisions across the business.
- Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution: Strong collaboration and communication skills to align stakeholders across Finance, Product, Sales, Legal, and Operations. This person should drive clarity, build systems, and execute efficiently in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
- Contract & Risk Management: Skilled at reviewing, negotiating, and operationalizing contracts — understanding legal and business implications, managing risk, and ensuring favorable terms while working closely with external counsel when needed.
The impact you'll make
- Own core finance operations including AP/AR, cash flow management, and reconciliations
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and close processes
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial planning cycles
- Build and refine financial reporting frameworks to improve visibility and decision-making
- Partner with teams across Sales, Product, and Operations to align financial execution with business priorities
- Support inventory, purchasing, and vendor-related financial workflows in a hybrid SaaS + product environment
- Identify and implement improvements to operational and financial processes as the company scales
- Develop and maintain key business KPIs across both SaaS and product lines
- Oversee financial systems and tools that support reporting, operations, and scaling efficiency
- Improve internal controls and strengthen financial governance as the company grows
- Drive automation and process improvements across finance and operational workflows
- Review and support negotiation of commercial agreements, vendor contracts, and SaaS-related terms
- Work with external counsel to ensure contracts are structured properly and align with business needs
- Help operationalize contract terms into scalable internal processes
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support leadership decision-making
- Support planning around growth initiatives, investments, and operational scaling priorities
What you will bring
- 12+ years of experience in finance or operations, with at least 3 years in a SaaS or hybrid SaaS + physical goods business
- Direct experience working for founder led/owned companies
- A leadership style that reflects deep ownership — you're not just setting strategy; you're in the details, understanding workflows, digging into financial models, and solving problems alongside your team.
- Strong grasp of finance fundamentals — budgeting, forecasting, P&L, cash flow, etc.
- Deep operational experience — supply chain, fulfillment, systems, or cross-functional execution
- Proven ability to lead and scale finance operations in high-growth environments
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; Excel/Sheets and financial modeling fluency
- Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts, including SaaS agreements, vendor terms, and NDAs
- Ability to identify and escalate legal risk appropriately while managing contract processes independently
- Experience with ERP, financial systems, and SaaS metrics (MRR, CAC, LTV, etc.)
- Experience monetizing payments in SaaS
- Strong communicator and collaborator across technical and non-technical teams
