Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Coordinator to join the Group Services Team. You will be dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service and administrative support across the Business & Economics and Law faculties. Working as part of a collaborative professional services team, you will support academic staff, students, and colleagues across both faculties.
In this role, you will:
- Provide executive support to Academic Heads.
- Manage finance and HR activities.
- Assist with department-specific events, functions, and the production of department publications.
- Coordinate academic travel, visitor arrangements, and oversee scholarships and prizes.
- Undertake specialist portfolios and responsibilities assigned by the Academic Operations Manager or Academic Operations Team Leader.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), 18-month fixed term opportunity.
The salary range for this role is $63,600 - $79,300 per annum.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- 3-5 years of administration experience, ideally within a tertiary environment.
- A can-do attitude, immaculate attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage a busy workload.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively as part of a high-performing team with an outstanding customer focus for the faculty's key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with knowledge of University processes and systems, such as PeopleSoft Financials and SmartRecruiters, being a real advantage.
