Senior Test Manager

Role Overview Your role as a Senior Test Manager is to provide programme level leadership, test management and analytical skills for the delivery of mission-critical capability. The role will be accountable within the programme for defining the test strategy in line with client functional and non-functional requirements and for the verification and validation activity across multiple delivery workstreams. This role is client facing with the Senior Test Manager leading the client engagement on the delivery of testing services. This is a great opportunity for an experienced test manager looking to take a leading role in the delivery of an important UK defence programme. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the delivery of testing across the entire programme of testing. To manage multiple testing projects within a Programme ensuring a common testing approach. To apply industry best practice to the Testing Processes To own the Test Strategy across multiple workstreams, utilising a risk-based approach. To produce and review Test Plans in line with the Test Strategy. To ensure detailed testing requirements are elicited where they are missing or vague. Build efficiencies in testing and continuous improvement of test methods, techniques and process. To provide evaluations and management of third-party suppliers. To provide expertise in test estimations and budgeting. To support and execute all levels of testing by actively co-ordinating other parties involved in the project. To use testing tools, as required and assist with tool evaluation as appropriate. To produce highlight reports to senior stakeholders. To report own and team’s progress and issues in a timely manner as defined in the Test Strategy and the agreed team organisation. To escalate issues that might impact on quality or the ability to complete tests according to plan, and to proactively seek appropriate solutions. To carry out and control audits of test plans, scripts and results and support test executions if required by the Test Strategy. To aid enhancement of knowledge within the team by mentoring and sharing knowledge and best practices.
