School Nurse for Epworth Elementary and Peosta Elementary

The Western Dubuque Community School District has a full time opening for school nurse. The school nurse supports the learning experience of students through assessment, planning, interventions, and evaluation of acute, chronic, and behavioral health concerns. In addition, the school nurse will evaluate the need for referral to other appropriate resources as needed. The school nurse for this position will provide health services for Peosta Elementary School and Epworth Elementary School which have established school health programs.

Position splits time between each school with support from a health paraprofessional.

Must hold a current registered nurse license or Bachelor of Science in Nursing license..

School nursing experience preferred and/or experience in the areas of pediatrics or community health nursing.

This is a full-time, school-year only position beginning approximately August 1, 2026. 190 workdays per year.
