Quality Manager

In this role you will be responsible for the Manufacturing Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Material Inspection, Test Lab, Metrology, and Customer Relations functions

What you'll do:
  • Sets the quality culture and strategies for the facility.

  • Oversees and engages in problem solving efforts, understanding effects of decisions on other areas of the facility.

  • Takes ownership to pursue systemic solutions and root causes in eliminating quality concerns.

  • Knows and understands the difference between judgmental, informational and source inspection and ensures they are applied appropriately.

  • Sets strategies for support systems process improvements.

  • Provides direction to team members based on general policies and management guidance.

  • Interprets and executes policies and procedures that typically affect reporting organizational units.

  • Accomplishes results with supervisors, team members, and/or through experienced salaried employees who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.

  • Functions as an advisor to a unit regarding tasks, projects, and operations.

  • Becomes actively involved in daily operations to meet schedules or to resolve complex/systemic challenges.

  • Ensures work/projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

  • Approves expenditures within budget policies and guidelines.

  • Provides resources and removes obstacles and barriers.

  • Work closely with production, technical support, and design teams. Functional Competencies

  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Planning and organizational skills, such as time and resource allocation.

  • Maintains a professional persona reflective of a leader in the organization

What is required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

  • Previous experience 10 years in quality roles, with 5 years management experience (Automotive / Aerospace or regulated industry preferred)
