Senior Manager Product Support IPT Leader

The Boeing CompanyBGS is seeking a Senior Manager in Oklahoma City, OK. responsible to execute the Product Support statement of work on the B-52 Bomber Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP). In this role you will have a strong partnership and teaming with BDS counterparts. This will be a multi-phased program with proposal activity in later phases. Collaboration with BGS functional leads in leading the integrated execution integrated logistics, and product support. Our team is looking for a leader skilled with program management discipline, easily able to navigate a fast-paced program, strong collaboration skills, and brings a great attitude that can successfully lead a complex portfolio while partnering with our BDS counterparts in leading Boeing successfully on this program.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees and first-level managers performing business management activities in the area of Program Management
- Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
- Strong EVM background and demonstrated experience using EVM to manage technical, cost and schedule performance oversight for BGS work
- Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan
- Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners
- 5+ years’ experience using project management methodologies, including developing project plans, performance management, and managing issues and risks
- Knowledge of Product Support Elements
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active U.S. Security Clearance
- Experience supporting military programs
- Experience in the implementation and use of Program Management Best Practices
- Background in Product Support functions
- Previous experience in Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Must have demonstrated work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitments
- Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events
- Highly motivated and must work well in a team environment
