Cardiology (ECG) Tech I

Job Summary:

Responsible for performing electrocardiodiagnostic studies, assisting with scheduling both inpatients/ outpatients, channeling  all cardiology diagnostic records to the physician for interpretation, and maintaining all related equipment and supplies.

Licensure and Certification:

• Completion of basic ECG course.
• Current BLS provider card

Education:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent

Experience:

• One (1) year technical and clinical experience in a Cardiology Department; hospital preferred 
• General background in inpatient and outpatient care preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Must have the ability to work independently and promote confidence, cooperation and relaxation of the patient to ensure accurate diagnostic information.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to work flexible schedules and take call as needed
• Ability to perform stress testing and 12 lead ECG
• Strong organizational skills
• Problem solving skills
• Basic computer skills
