About the Role– The remote manager is the first point of contact for current and prospective self-storage customers. Their mission is to assist the storage customer through the entire life cycle of their storage experience. From securing the rental to taking payments and solving customer issues, the remote manager performs the standard functions of an on-site manager, but remotely. They will use technology integrations to manage multiple locations, and provide excellent integrity and communication to our clients
Working on campus: If you work on site, you will enjoy building relationships with your co-workers, access to a fully-stocked cafeteria, “phone booths” available for use during breaks to have private conversations, all the equipment necessary to perform the job, face-to-face time with your coaches, and much more.
Working from home: If you will be working from home, you will be required to provide your own equipment, a webcam for training, have reliable internet, have a quiet place to work with no distractions, have regular check-ins with your coach, participate in virtual team-building events, and can wear yoga pants all day if you like.
Remote Work Required Minimums:
MUST have own Computer
· Windows 11
· Intel processor- i5 , i7, i9 and 8th gen or newer.
· Ryzen Processor -Ryzen 5, Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 9 and at least 3000 series or newer.
· 8GB RAM minimum
· 16GB strongly recommended
· 2 Monitors
· Computer must have an updated Google Chrome browser
MUST have reliable Internet
· Landline based connection required
· Wireless/Mobile(4G/5G)/Satellite not allowed
· 10Mb bandwidth or higher, both upstream and downstream
· Computer must be connected to internet gateway via Ethernet cable, in home wi-fi not allowed. Wi-Fi alternative recommendations available if distance is an issue.
· Headset can be 3.5mm or USB, as supported by their computer - most major brands are acceptable but microphone quality goes up with price
JOB DUTIES – The duties of the remote manager include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist prospective customers in selecting the appropriate storage unit and guide them seamlessly through the move-in process.
- Clearly explain rental agreement terms, policies, and conditions to ensure customer understanding and compliance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining professionalism, friendliness, and a positive attitude at all times.
- Process payments accurately, including collecting overdue rent and managing account balances.
- Address and resolve customer concerns or issues efficiently, following established guidelines to ensure satisfaction.
- Support customers during the move-out process and utilize technology to ensure units are clean, rent-ready, and compliant with company standards.
- Follow up on leads, reservations, and issue resolutions to maximize occupancy and customer retention.
- Communicate property activity, occupancy updates, and client information effectively with management and clients.
- Handle a high volume of inbound/ outbound calls (typically 80+ calls per shift) with professionalism and efficiency.
Provide prompt and helpful customer support via Live Chat to ensure positive interactions and issue resolution
LOCATION & COMMITMENTS:
- This is a full-time position.
- 8-5pm CST Always will be OFF Sundays!!
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 Years Minimum Onsite Self-storage experience required.
- Bilingual is preferred, but not required (Spanish/ English)
- 2 years minimum in customer service role
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Utilize excellent spelling and grammatical skills to relay written messages as necessary.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task and possess active listening skills.
- Must be able to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently.
- High School Diploma
- Associate degree is a PLUS
- Call Center Experience is a PLUS (inbound/outbound)
- Experience working with a PC and be able to navigate multiple screens simultaneously.
COMPENSATION/PAYROLL SCHEDULE:
- Base pay starts at $20 per hour
- Additional Performance BONUS Pay $$$ EACH MONTH
- Semimonthly - check dates 15th and Last day of the month
- 1st - 15th is paid on the last day of that month
- 16th - last day of the month is paid on the 15th of the following month
