Purpose of the role
The role’s primary responsibility is to support Network strategy and Route network recommendations on the portfolio of markets assigned. The Analyst shall develop recommendations and analyses related to new routes, new bases, strategic planning, and competitive environment – to ensure long-term success and profitability of Wizz Air’s route network.
Responsibilities
- Assessing new markets based on strategic fit, financial performance and growth potential
- Developing financial forecasts for potential new routes and bases
- Assessing and interpreting market, economic and industry trends and the impact on route choice
- Assessing competition in terms of strategic plans, capacity changes, strengths / weaknesses and recommending actions based on the risks and opportunities
- Closely working together with other areas:
- With Scheduling and Slots team on projects related to new aircraft deployments and seasonal loadings to ensure effective and successful schedule design
- With the Revenue Management team and Airport Development teams to determine new opportunities as well as amendments to existing routes, frequencies and airports
- With Government affairs team to assess and unlock designations and traffic rights for new market developments
- Building relationships with airports and third parties (regions, tourism bodies, Civil Aviation Authorities etc.)
- To be successful in the role he/she will need to continuously look for improvements and developments in the current tools and processes of Network area. Therefore an innovative, process-driven mindset with strong technical skills is essential.
Experience
3-5+ years overall working experience, with 2+ years relevant experience in network, revenue management, commercial planning, strategy, management consulting or alternatively in an analytical role
Hard skills
MS Office Suite: Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Office tools
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics or other numerical subject
Language
Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
