Security Officer Route Patrol

As a Security Officer Route Patrol in Lexington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support shoppers and staff with strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will be part of a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first, values integrity, and brings a collaborative approach to each shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and potential hazards, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
• Support loss prevention and retail operations by observing high-traffic areas, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and documenting security-related incidents accurately.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
