Security Officer - Retail Driver Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Driver Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in job state. You will support a welcoming environment through strong customer service, clear communication, and a team-focused approach grounded in integrity, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with property management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, parking areas, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and/or property concerns.
• Monitor building access, observe cameras and/or alarm activity when assigned, and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized persons, and/or conditions that could impact daily operations.
• Support access control and visitor management processes, provide directions and assistance, and complete routine logs, reports, and/or incident documentation in accordance with site expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
