Security Officer - Building Security

As a Security Officer - Building Security in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post calls for strong communication and customer service while supporting daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting relevant details.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify entry permissions according to site-specific protocols while assisting visitors, employees, and/or contractors with directions and basic information.
• Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, following post orders, and completing required logs, reports, and/or other security-related documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
