MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS |

Summary: - Lead and direct day to day workflow and staffing assignments.
- Responsible for coaching, counseling and mentoring staff.
- Participates in the interview and selection process for new hires and transfers.
- Coordinates new employee department orientation.
- Performs clinical assessments and competencies.
- Completes and delivers probationary and annual performance evaluations.
- Communicate timely and effectively to providers and staff to ensure coordination of care is timely and complete.
- Assist to coordinate and facilitate integrated care delivery.
- Address customer service concerns and engage in problem solving to achieve desired outcomes.
- Communicate with the Director and nursing leadership relative to escalated employee relation and patient care concerns.
- Identifies service and operational problems and issues.
- Provides project management support to identify, research, develop and implement solutions.
- Compile reports as directed.
- Maintain confidentiality of all reports and patient information.
- Consult supervisor, co-workers or appropriate resources to solve health information questions.
- Make sound decisions on best use of resources in support of medical center priorities and strategies.
- Support the successful operational implementation and use of technology and New Products.
- Performs various other office tasks as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS |
Minimum Education (Indicate minimum education or degree required.) |
- Graduate of a RN Training Program.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
|

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications (Indicate minimum years of job experience, skills or abilities required for the job.) |
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work in a union environment.

- Minimum three years progressive management experience in the field of expertise preferred.
- Minimum five years’ experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation (List any licensure or certification required and specify name of agency.) |
- BLS
- ACLS
- Basic EKG certified.
- NIHSS Certified (within 30 days of hire).
- Current RN license.
- Current Los Angeles County Fire Card required (within 30 days of employment).
- ARC Card (within 30 days of employment)
