Overview

Under the general supervision of IS Director, responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and maintaining health system application and device integration. Responsible for fiscal management, performance improvement activities, and compliance with all relevant policies/procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership oversight and mentorship to assigned staff members including:
    • Setting clear expectations for team member performance
    • Advising and coaching team members around issues, key success factors, and lessons learned
    • Sharing positive effects of team effort and innovation on the health system
    • Motivating and showing appreciation for team efforts
    • Holding regularly scheduled staff meetings ensuring discussion on status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, and upcoming milestone
  • Manages all aspects and operations of health system software applications supported by the team
  • Develops and maintains working relationship with supported software vendors
  • Leads in the identification and resolution of problems impacting the use of systems in assigned areas
  • Builds positive working relationships that foster camaraderie and process improvement across internal IS teams as well as external supported departments
  • Participates in IS Projects as assigned with responsibilities including: 
    • Ensuring clear understanding and oversight of scope, schedule, and quality of project work in assigned application area or team
    • Working closely with Project Management team coordinating staff activities within the context of departmental or organizational project plans
    • Ensuring tasks assigned to team members stay on target
    • Providing leadership with regular updates on the status of assigned tasks
    • Serving as a liaison between the needs of the project and general operations

 

  • Works with the staff to ensure compliance with all IS policies and procedures
  • Participates as needed in training efforts ensuring appropriate content and support based on system requirements

Qualifications

  • Five to seven (5-7) years relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years leadership experience
  • Maintenance of Epic certification relevant within support area of oversight
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
