Communications Coordinator - FT - Charleston

The Communication Coordinator is responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining communication strategies for the organization to advance the mission, build credibility, engage supporters, and steward relationships. The role will be responsible for managing internal and external communications and ensuring that all staff are informed about company operations and goals and maintain clear lines of communication throughout the organization and keeping external partners and the public informed of the organization’s activities. 

• Developing and implementing communication plans and strategies.
• Managing the flow of information among employees, departments, management, and audiences outside the organization.
• Creating and distributing newsletters, emails, social media platforms, announcements, press releases, website content, advertising and marketing materials, public presentations, events, conferences, and customer support communications.
• Collaborating with different departments to generate new ideas and strategies for effective communication.
• Assisting with organizing and coordinating internal and external corporate events or meetings.
• Managing the organization’s internal and external communication channels, such as intranet, emails, newsletters, and bulletins.
• Creating reports on internal and external communication strategy effectiveness.
• Supporting communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation.
• Ensuring communication messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization.
• Responding to feedback from staff and adjusting communications content accordingly.
