Home Helpers Home Care of Downingtown is a locally owned, non-medical home care agency serving Chester County and Lancaster County, PA. We care for seniors, Veterans, new moms, and post-surgical patients — and we do it differently. Our Lead Caregiver model, RN-overseen intakes, and direct owner access set us apart. The role

We're looking for a relationship-driven Referral Development Specialist to grow our referral partner network across Chester and Lancaster Counties. This is a field-based, part-time role focused on building and nurturing relationships with healthcare and community partners who refer clients to us — including hospital social workers, senior living communities, elder law attorneys, VA social workers, OB/GYNs, and primary care physicians. You will represent our brand in the community, track all activity in our CRM, and report directly to the owner. This role requires someone who is self-motivated, organized, and accountable — and who thrives without being micromanaged but understands the importance of consistent follow-through.


Weekly activity expectations

This role has clear, measurable weekly expectations. We believe accountability starts before the hire.

  • 8–10 partner touchpoints per week (in-person visits, calls, or meaningful follow-ups with referral partners)
  • 3–5 new outreach contacts per week (new or lapsed partners contacted via personalized email or phone)
  • 1 weekly check-in with the owner to review pipeline, wins, and priorities
  • 100% CRM activity logged in Salesmate same day or next business day

What you'll own

  • Building and managing relationships with referral partners across Chester and Lancaster Counties
  • Executing our 90-day follow-up cadence for new partners (thank you, resource share, check-in, drop-by, lunch-and-learn)
  • Developing our new mom and postpartum referral track (OB/GYNs, midwives, birth centers, lactation consultants)
  • Supporting VAMC relationship development alongside the owner
  • Representing Home Helpers at community events, health fairs, and networking opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records in Salesmate CRM
  • Sharing market feedback and referral trends with the owner weekly

What we're looking for

  • Experience in healthcare sales, business development, or community outreach — home care, hospice, or senior services a strong plus
  • Genuine relationship builder — you remember names, follow up without being asked, and make people feel valued
  • Organized and self-directed — you manage your own schedule, hit your activity targets, and don't need daily check-ins to stay on track
  • Comfortable with CRM tools and basic reporting
  • Familiarity with Chester County healthcare and community networks preferred
  • Passion for home care, aging, Veterans' services, or maternal health a plus
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required — this is a field role

Compensation & schedule

  • Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week
  • Hourly pay: $28– $32 per hour, commensurate with experience
  • Flexible schedule with core availability Monday through Friday
  • Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
